So i purchased a entertainment series wide screen laptop from HP in 2007. After all was said and done i financed about 2200 with them. Computer was great from when i got it in may of 07 to when i deployed in august of 08 (purchased a super cheap used gateway laptop to take to iraq as my hp was way to expensive for the deser). Anywho, fastforward to april. Im back from overseas and reopen my computer. Works great for a few weeks then the left hinge on the screen cracks wide open. Shattered, computers out of warranty so i try to glue it back together. The glue held until day before yesterday. Broke again. So i start looking online to try and figure out either a cost for repair or how to repair IT. Ran accross a message from May 31st on a recall program for my exact computer that ended on May 31st. Well i called HP on it last night to find out what i could do. Considering i was never contacted about the recall and my computer is the exact model and broke within the recall time frame. After 4 phonecalls with 4 different people, each higher than the last, i was told they will fix it for 150 dollars plus tax and shipping, and i will be without my computer for approximately 2-4 weeks. Such Bu!!Sh!t. Stupid HP.
