I get some odd visitors

I came home the other day to discover this guy eagerly trying to gain access to my rodent shack.
just a simple black rat, but quite stunning. He wasn't very happy that i interupted his free 12 course meal (at my expense), but i'm sure he'll get over it.

He was very pretty Candice. the white that appears on his scaling, was actually that way. it gave him the speckled look. He was rather docile, and i even considered he may have been someone's pet at one point. He wasn't afraid of me.........and didn't strike when i picked him up. Her curled around the handle i had close by and we walked to the woods where i let him go. Took him a bit to get the idea he couldn't just live with me.

ya know.........i seriously considered it. but then i thought about what it would be like to be free, and suddenly caged.

Nice surprise huh? I think I would have freaked out. I have gotten used to the ones a friend of mine has and even hold them from time to time,but coming up on one outside I would probably have had a hissy fit.

When I first read the subject title, I was thinking of you personally. And thought to myself....well, you know, odd people do seem to attract other odd people. But then I found the topic to actually be of a snake....and was rather disappointed in where the subject could have gone. Sooooo.....

I guess I just have to say, "That's a nice snake! Too bad he got scared away from the weird lady running around with a stick." ;D

He used to have lotsa snakes as pets while he was in school, but I'm too skittish :-\ to have them now.

I'll be in Idaho, and ironically, I have to fly out of Chicago. Go figure.
But it would be nice to meet up. I travel a bit........so ya just never know.
