So, even after all my of research before I got my beardie I missed something critical to the success of my baby.

I got a kit tank and it came with calcium not thinking to check if it had D3 I've been using it since 12/9. ( I thought I could use what came in the kit) this morning I noticed it dose not have D3. after seeing this I freaked out and overnighted some zoomed that has D3 and it will be here tomorrow the 22nd . my baby is 2 months and I feel 1000% horrible for not seeing this sooner! am I over reacting and it will be okay or how big of an issue have I caused? he is acting fine, happy, eating, very active. but I am really upset I have hurt him without knowing it.

If the beardie has proper uvb lighting INSIDE the enclosure... not over a mesh lid.. they will be naturally absorbing the vitamin through the bulb... but that’s not to say added D3 is not a necessary as well... proper uvb lighting is just as important as balancing supplements.. [emoji4]

I think he will be just fine. It's only 12 days

It's always amazing to see how fast they shed as babies!! As they get older the slower it is and it isn't a full body shed any longer lol

He’s almost 100% just some bits on his feet and I think his tail I might of missed the tail shedding but I haven’t seen it

The calcium that came with the kit is the least of your problems. It’s all the other stuff that came with the kit that is going to hinder its growth and effect its health. Make sure you get a tube style UVB light that covers at least 2/3rds of the the tank. A Reptisun 10.0 or Arcadia 12% are the best. A T8 size needs to be mounted inside the tank at. The highest point above the dragons head. A T5 bulb can be mounted on top of the mesh. Also make sure you get a digital probe thermometer or an IR temp gun to monitor the temps. The analog gauges are highly inaccurate.
