Hi all I moved my beardie from his 30 Gallon Tank to an extreamly large Display case its aproximatly 4 Feet Long 2 Feet Wide and 3 Feet Tall..

I moved im in there early today and used all his tank decor from his old tank. He is about 8 inches long and i think the tank was just too big for him because he didn't eat anything all day.
a problem that occured was its so large its hard to heat up.. and i took the top glass pannel off so i could access him, and give him air ventillation...So the tank never really warmed up which was the a big problem...i need to go through and caulk the wooden sliding doors to close up all the gaps.

I need to think of some ways to help it contain heat.. Grr i wish i knew what to do with this damn thing.. its so big.. what are some great ways to heat a large VIV. is it possible to heat this thing up decently without a top glass layer i literraly just cut the caulk hoding the top layer on and took it out. Ill Attach a picture of the "Display Case"

I moved T'zar back into his smaller tank after one day..hes not ready and niether am i..i need to build some styrofoam landscape for the little guy. If someone has some great advise it would be so apperciated..im a first timer and i wanna do it right for the dude.

Im thinking maybe buy another heat lamp, or build a very high Basking Spot.. Temperature question if his basking spot is like 100 degrees..and the rest of the tank is 80-70 is that okay or does he really need a warm side and cool side i mean when hes cold will he just go to his bask spot? I just feel so lost at this point..i have bought two new bigger tanks for him to advance and the first one i felt was too tall Vs Wide..now i have a large tank that needs to be caulked and im worried if i will beable to meet his temperature requirements.. Advise me please..Also to reduce stress when its time for him to move should i set him in the bigger tank occasionally to explore?
