i have video...not sure how to upload.
It was out of curiosity more than anything on my part(selfish I admit)...he took it down though.
Passed a stool or two since then....I was a tad worried about bones in the tiny lizard, but it was fine.

Lizard was caught by easy methods and no chance of infections( very very confident there).

Anyone done this? I considered it a treat...like a blue horn.

Please don't post the video, I know I speak for many in that we don't want to see this. . I'm not very sure why you would have fed your dragon an anole in the first place. I mean yes they eat them in the wild however our captive dragons are exactly that captive they are not out in the wild with access to what only mother nature can provide. Their body systems are not used to eating items like that.

The closest thing to this would be feeding a female that has just laid a clutch of eggs and needs to replenish calcium stores a day old pinkie..Other than that there are only rare occasions that amount of quick calcium would be needed. And if not done when needed the large amount of meat protein is hard on their bodies to metabolize.

I believe he is referring to hornworms. They are big blue worms commonly fed to beardies.

I won't post the video. I understand your position and I will not post it as I get where you are coming from and I don't want to condone irresponsible behavior with dragons( I do not, however consider this to be )

My guy is plenty healthy and in pretty tip top shape compared to what I have seen on the internet. This was an extremely small specimen fed and was given as a treat.

Again, out of respect for the site and your concerns I will NOT post the video, as it may encourage behavior that others that who are not as informed, etc shouldn't partake in.

Thanks.

I do appreciate that, as things can be misinterpreted as ok and in many circumstances it isnt safe to do so. As parasites and infectious organisms are of concern in feeding it in uncontrolled situations. Is can be ok under controlled manors and not in others, so yes it all comes down to many variables and not a good item for beginners..
So from the Admin Team we advise only safe feeders as many here are beginners so Thank you for understanding
