When my son was around 3 years old, he told us that he wanted a bearded dragon for his birthday. Way too early of course. We told him that if he still wanted one for his eighth birthday, we would get him one. Certain that he would change his mind many times before that time...heck, before that day was over, we more or less forgot about it.
His eighth birthday is coming up in September, and he still wants a bearded dragon. We will of course keep our end of the bargain, so here I am doing the research before we pull the trigger. At 8 years of age, he will still be too young to take care of an animal by himself, so it will be a combined effort. A Father and son kind of thing. From the research I have been doing so far, I`ve actually developed a fascination for the beardies myself!
