How to help beardie gain weight?

My beardie is about 3-4 months old (I got him at petsmart and they couldn't tell me an exact age). He is 10 inches long, and I don't know how much he weighs bc I don't have a scale, but he looks thin. For heating I use a generic 100watt heat bulb and a reptisun 100watt mvb, my basking temps are 100 F. I keep him in a 40 Gallon terreriam on repticarpet with a small dish of water, a basking rock, a climbing branch, a climbing brick, and a hide. I feed small crickets (dusted with calcium), turnip greens, and Zoo Med juvenile pellets. Is there any way I can help him gain weight? I already tried waxworms, but he wouldn't eat them.

I pretty much have to hand feed mine using forceps to get him eating good. He will ignore certain foods if i just put them in his dish. You could try pieces of hard-boiled egg.

Not to sure what a ReptiSun 100w bulb is for UVB. Is it a compact bulb or is do you have a tube style fluorescent like bulb? How long have you had your beardie?

Its not a tube bulb, but I'm not sure if its still considered a compact because its a mecury bulb? The guy at the pet store
(I know I'm sorry I didn't know better) said it was ok and I saw someone suggest it online.
I have had him for a little over a month.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I meant it's a powersun. I made that post last night when I was really tired and I mistyped.

he may be a bit thin, but I don't think he looks bad. cant see his ribs. the fat pockets on his head look good (a bit hard to tell from this angle) try dubia roaches. baby food. little bit concerned about the recommendation to feed hard boiled eggs - please research that - I am probably wrong, but I seem to remember that eggs aren't so good. If he's growing fast (and it seems he is) his weight will catch up eventually! Is he active and pooping? Both good signs

Thank you so much! I will try to convince my mom to let me try dubias and the baby food recommendation. And, yes he is active and his poop looks normal! Thank you again!!

Yea I would highly suggest having your colony of dubia they are not the typical roach, they don't live long enough to breed outside your container.. They are quite, don't smell, don't climb, don't jump and they are SOOO nutritious, meaty and are great to gut load as their gi tracts are really long. They are costly so having your own colony that's producing is the way to go.
