How to feed?

So far I've been feeding Falkor by just dropping crickets in his large 100g tank, but I don't think he's eating many. What is the best way to feed him? He's actually only 4.5 inches, so he's just a little baby. He's still settling in a little, but doing much much better. He loves to be held, drinks from his baths (every 3rd day), and doesn't touch his greens yet.

I've been trying crickets, dubia roaches, and meal worms. He's gotten a couple roaches, but they can scare him sometimes by sticking to him when he's trying to eat them! The crickets are to fast for him it seems unless I break the legs off.... Not easy to do on those little buggers! And I'm trying not to feed meal worms.

As for greens, I've been doing a mix. A little fruit to try to entice him (strawberries, oranges, and apples), some carrots, and I've done dandelion greens and I have some parsley right now. Nothing has been touched yet!

Don't worry about the greens, the little ones don't always take to them right away. Keep offering and he will eventually get curious and eat some. Don't feed him oranges, they are too acidic.

As far as the crickets you can either take him out and feed him in a separate tank or you can just drop a few in at a time and wait till he eats them before you put more in.

Lol, that will be all day! I put him in a separate box and he freaked out. I found a food dish and he ate two before I left, but the darn roaches can still climb out. I'll have to keep trying. I'm not to worried about the greens. And I've only done oranges once, just to change it up. Why are they on the list?! Ugh lol

I had to go back and look at the list. I looked at 2 different ones and they both said it was okay occasionally. I had heard different though. I heard you shouldn't even feed your feeders citrus fruits.

Citrus fruits have way to much moisture for gutloading. You'll get mold way to fast so I can see that. Other then that, I'm not sure! Thank you for your help!

When I got Mushu I tried feeding him in another container and he would have none of that either. When I purchased him the breeder suggested a 15-20 gallon tank when he was smaller so he could find food easy and feel secure.Do you have a smaller tank or know someone who has one you could borrow? They outgrow the baby tank fast but it might help in getting the little guy to eat. He is so tiny at 4.5 inches. What a cutie!
