How often should our guy poop? Our beardie is 8mo old and is approx 18” long. Eats his bugs (dubia and superworms) really well. Won’t eat salad regularly. Basking spot at 105° and using a reptisun UVB HO tube light.

Ok so you want him eating his salads -- order some BSFL and start adding those to his salads order large use as many as you want DO NOT dust them -- add them to his salads in front of him so they get his attention --- you will need a bowl like this to keep them in the bowl https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Rept...uGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d
the UVB is what bulb? T 5 or a T 8 and where in the tank is it ? inside or top of screen? The placement is very important ---- each bulb is different along w/ distance --- your little guy should be pooping every day or other as they get older they tend to poop less -- the basking temps along w/ correct UVB w/ placement and distance control this - the UVB helps absorb/ synthesize the calcium he is eating -- how is he staying hydrated? this too also plays a factor in how often he poops -- w/ him eating salads and rinsing them before serving will give him alot of moisture along w/ the gut loading of the insects --

I have BSFL and waxworms to put on the salad. T5 bulb inside the cage. I mist him 2-3x a week.

Make sure your distance is 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor piece -- no back wall placement -- waxworms I would feed very sparingly they are very fatty and too many and too often can cause liver damage -- other worms are better options like horn which are a hydrating worm butter super and meal worms and silk they are another staple feeder -- along w/ dubia roaches they would compliment your BSFL -- the way to tell if hes dehydrated is his white urate will be dry and chalky looking you dont want that -- you want dark firm and moist and urate white firm and moist looking --
