There is no set amount of food they should be eating. I would feed something other than just Kale tho cuz Kale is not good for them for a staple. The greens are the best - mustard, dandelion, turnip and collard greens.
The best thing for you to do is to ask your vet when you go. If he's over weight the vet will tell you. If he's under weight the vet will tell you. Every beardie is different and what mine eats might be completely different than what the same exact age beardie will eat.
It's not black and white and they have to eat "X" amount of this or that.
How are the fat pads? It's he over weight or under weight?? Do you have a picture of him so we can see him?
Adult dragons should be eating more veggies than greens and kale is an okay food to feed but as long as it's mixed with other things. I would feed bugs every other day with salad being an every day item.
