I recently adopted a bearded dragon, who is approx. 2. I offer her kale and other fruits and veggies (that I have checked to be safe) twice a day, and in the evening I offer her mealworms. I'm not sure how many to offer every night though. Last night I offered her thirty and she ate them all. But I want to know how much you let your beardies eat.

Mealworms aren't very nutritious. You should try other things like crickets, dubia's, super worms, nightcrawlers, silk worms, etc.

My Dexter is 2 and I offer her a mixed salad everyday. Usually 2 or 3 kinds of greens and a veggie. She doesn't eat any of it! She's a finicky eater and has to be tricked into eating her salad. I offer her bugs daily but she doesn't always want to eat them everyday. Some days she just turns her head because she is not hungry. Today she ate 7 large super worms, tomorrow she probably won't want anything. I still offer them to her. Most of us feed whatever they want to eat within a 15 min time limit.

Make sure you your dragon is drinking water and getting hydrated. The shell on meal worms can be hard to digest if your dragon isn't well hydrated.

Thanks, im making sure sol gets plenty of water (she seems to really like baths so I've complied, and she guzzles water down). I heard that super worms weren't good either, and I have a issue with crickets. Dubias are an option, but do they stink? Cricket poop was the only smell that ever made me gag, so I unfortunately can't keep those. And I follow what can eat in 15 mins for the live food, im not so good about that with the pellet mix and veggies, is that okay?

Veggies can be left in all day and night. I hear dubias don't stink. Supers still have the crunchy shell but they are meatier than mealworms.

It's good she drinks so much in her bath. Dexter loves her bath too but doesn't always drink.

Dubias don't really smell and once your colony is going are a renewable food. My Beardie and leopard gecko love them. Some chicken feed, water crystals, fruit and veggie scraps, a warm environment and they breed like crazy.

Ive got 20,000 + Dubia's, i have heaters on the totes and i was keeping room temp at around 78 degrees. i had a little smell that worried me, wasnt bad as crickets by far but still people said they dont smell so i tested. i ended up turning the room temp down to around 68 degrees and with the heaters on the totes the smell almost went away. Crickets STINK! The Dubia's have a little smell like right when your over the tote but thats it. The crickets would stink up the whole room!
