BUMP for a good question.

My beardie is about a foot and a half and I was wondering the same thing..?

I'd start with 2 or 3 and see how well they digest, if things pass ok then increase by 2-3 more each day. For under a year I usually still let them eat all they want, unless they are really big pigs then I make them stop around 20 a day.

Beegee loves them and has been given them for awhile. He is a big piggy tho when it comes to supers.

Be careful with supers - they LOVE them too much! My guy is stuck on them now and refuses to eat anything but. I've tried to switch him back to crix and veg but he holds out for days without eating anything until I get scared and give in. I've also noticed that lots of supers lead to slow digestion thus once a week BMs - which I don't think is good.

My advice is to go slow. If it were me to do over again, I'd only offer supers maybe once a week. Try to stick with crix, meal worms (wax worms for treat) and LOTS of different veg & fruit the other 6 days a week. You may even want to try pellets. I've used RepCal Iguana pellets - given to me by my vet........its not working though but then again, I've created a supers junkie!

Cheers

Yeah I switch it up often. BeeGee has no trouble with BM he stools every day and they look healthy. He likes supers to an extent but honestly would rather eat crix.
Also to add, you said meal worms. I wouldn't give them to beardies because they have a lot of chitin in their shells which could lead to impaction from what i've heard. Just be careful :).

I don't use pellets because they dont feel nutritious to me. I feed them to my crix however and supers. :)
