How long should the shedding process take? I have searched and found the dragons shed in sections or parts but not many searches I found suggest a time frame. Our little one that my daughter finally named "boobas dragon" has had white flaky edges around the scales on his head for a week now so I figured a changed was coming as well as having a very weak looking peeling skin across his ear holes (forgot term) and I see very small patches of skin falling under his chin like its ready to let go. I have let him soak daily since I noticed it was taking a while and I grabbed a spare tooth brush to put in his health kit to lightly brush him with when soaking and he seems to be okay with that moving in the direction of the brushing and not away from it.

His appetite has deminished almost completely. He was eating up to 8 supers a day at one point with open feeding of veggies and fruits and now its a task to get him to eat only 3 supers. If I handle him his energy is there and he wants to move out and when I let him roam he will move around but in his cage he just sits in one spot basically . At this point he isnt having a normal bowel movement as there is diarreha there.

I havent found a vet near me yet as I spent some time calling today to see where to take a stool sample too in order to eliminate any issues there. Could this just be symptoms of the stressful shedding process? How long should this last for him?

the previous owner estimated him to be just about two years old. He is pretty decent size so just not sure.

Shedding can take various times. They all shed at different rates. The soaking in water is a good way to help it along, but I wouldn't recommend using the toothbrush or pulling the shed. Can damage scales doing that. It isn't uncommon for their appetite to slow also during this period along with some grouchiness.
