I haven't been on because the other day the WORST thing happened...My SO and I bought George a nice new big tank (and bought him one of those reptisun 10.0 thanks guys!)...Well, I had to "makeshift" a lid 4 a day because I had left it at Grandma's...I go 2 CVS, and I come home...I hear Snuggles yelp very loudly and being concerned I rushed in there...
OMG Snuggles had forced the tank 2 the side to wedge herself in so she could push herself up underneath the lid...Well, she wasn't trying to eat George but she was carrying him around like a baby...Unfortunately she punctured his skin. She had yelped because while she had tried cleaning him he had bit her very hard...
I rushed George to the local exotic animal hospital (not bad price 50 for the exam and 16.99 for his antibiotics)...He was so stressed I couldn't stop crying for him...He had turned all black and was just all snuggled up in my shirt. So now he's fine though the vet did mention that he may die months from now from the infection, but at this point I think he is ok...I had him up at the hospital within 10 minutes of the incident and they were fast 2 make sure they cleaned him and had him stable...
At this point, it's too early 2 tell, but he's still eating like a pig...So he gets antibiotics once a day, and I have 2 soak him in water up 2 his shoulder everyday for a week.
I also had a personal tragedy 2 hours later...My SO and I have been trying 2 have a baby and God had other plans...Not a good day everyone, not at all...
