hi new owner i need all the info i can get

so i got him about a month and a half ago. and he seems pretty happy but it is kind of hard to hold him he is rilly sqwermy so i need some tips on handaling him. and what greens to feed him. the temp in his cage gets about 180F in the day and it gets down to 70F in the night. once i get up to go to scool i wake him up and put his lights on. then once i get back to scool i check on him and he is basking so is that normal behavyer

Really like the background picture. Some like to be handled from the beginning while others take longer to settle in. He'll come around. He looks really healthy so you are doing something right.
