Hi,
I'm very new to being a bearded dragon owner. We got Spike the last week of February 2013 at Petsmart. I think it's a male and citrus in color. He eats very well, not sure of his weight but he's almost 11" long from nose to tail. I'm amazed at how much attitude he has. I accidentally found this forum by looking for patterns to make a harness/leash for him. I have tons of questions and looks like I can find alot answers here. Thanks!

Just browsing through while waiting to get my trailer loaded, and already read alot and realized just how full of crap the pet stores really are, but they do talk a good game. We got ours at Petco and I go there on breaks to buy crickets to take home, anway, I had asked how old the beardies were when they came in the guys like 6 months old, and we were talking and he asked how big Spike was I said 10" and he told me the dragon I bought a month and a half is now a year old and done growing, so I was pretty sure this guy was out there.

We got the tank extra screen top, both dome lights and 3 bulbs
. The tank is 36-18-18. I asked the guy what he got that out grew that in about 2the months he said some kind of egyptian uromastyx(spelling) any way, he said his lizard should hit 3the foot. Worst part was driving to baltimore and back. My wife wasn't happy until she saw what I got for a hundred and showed her what their selling for, now we have to figure out where to set it up. I'd like to find the lizard carpet to fit the tank but it looks like they don't make it in that size.

Good deal! We found our repti-carpet at Petsmart. I'm sorry that I can't remember what size we got but it mostly fit. We stopped using it and started using just white paper towels because it was easier to clean and crickets couldn't hide under it.
