I have owned many reptiles from thai water dragons and iguanas to frilled lizards and basilisks as I like the jungle feel. With this in mind I recently decided to venture into the desert and got myself my first ever beardie. The other half and kids have called him ozzie, and we believe hd us around 18 months old. We have had him 3 days now and are looking forward to see what this little guys character will be as he us still settling in and not really doing much at the moment. As a first time beardie owner I do have many questions the main 1 is about night heat but I have already created a thread for that. Any advice from experienced owners will be greatly appreciated

He's gorgeous! He looks like he has reddish colored eyes like my Dexter does. Are all 10 of his toe nails clear?

His nails are all the same.does that mean anything

If they are black then nothing special, if they are clear or match the dragon its special

Really I didnt know. All 10 are clear what does it mean

If they were completely clear which your guy has a black line in them than it would be a Translucent beardie...... But every nail would be completely clear no pigment or line in them.

Welcome to the forum...... As for night heat. You do not require it unless your viv drops below 65 degree
