Welcome to the forum! What do you do for a living that you get the lucky job of cleaning out cages on a daily basis?

Yes Elemental your total right they are pets not products. We try to match every reptile with the right type of household. Not every home is ready for a bearded dragon. We have lots of display reptiles at the store and we keep them as well as our sale reptiles in good care. I hatch some of the stuff we have so after my long hours raising them I want to be sure I try my best to find a forever home so they don't go into the cycle. Honestly you don't make much money off the sale of reptiles some animals hang around for months before you find them a home so take in account food, lighting, you just about brake even or loose out. The key is good up keep so you don't loose any reptiles.
