A liitle about eddie and axle. I have had these pair for about 4 months they have never been separated and they live together permanent i tried to separate them but the pair them got really depressed. I have had one lot of eggs from axle. She is due another batch end of the year. I know this is only her third clutch in the 6and a half years she has been with eddie. The pair of them were very smelly when i collected them and their tank was extremely dirty. Now they do not smell had complete change of diet and their tank is cleaned more often than it should i think. Eddie is smaller than axle in size even thou he is a male. My profile picture shows eddie at the front and axle at the back

You really should separate them for awhile after she lays. She is going to need time to fill back out and rest as laying takes alot from the ladies.

I tried the separation thing and the pair of them would not eat she put the weight back on reasonably quickly. I made sure she got more crickets etc after she laid. Also eddie the male left her alone and gave up his food for her. Now they share
