Hi everyone! new to bearded dragons, and going to be getting one or two in a week here. i just turned 16 jan 30 but don't let the age make you think I'm careless etc.. i currently have a 150g freshwater tank and 2 55g freshwater tanks and a leopard gecko. i have easily over $1000 in my tanks and now plan to get a beardie or two for my "zoo" as my parents call it. underneath my 150g stand its all open except for the canister filter. so i plan of making a custom 5'x18' cage. tile floor, some rocks, plants, and big logs. all the needed lighting and everything else i need. i have already found an awesome breeder 1hr away and plan on taking a trip there next week after i get the tank set up. the dragon i have my eyes on is a 7-8" male yellow hypo X citrus tiger for $60. i have done easily 15+ hours of research and feel semi confident about everything i need. but if you would be kind enough to make a simple check list of everything i need and/or recommendations that would awesome!! thanks!!

Very nice. You seem pretty set. Make sure you have a UVB bulb. Repti sun 10.0 tube style. That covers the basking area. A basking area that has temps 100 - 105.

Other than that what u said seems good.

Any other questions ask away. Tons of knowledgeable people here.

5 feet by 18 feet? Oh my that's huge! You may have some issues gettting a good temperature gradient in such a large enclosure. How tall is it going to be? The Reptisun 10.0 is the best UVB bulb around :) you may need 2 or 3 under cabinet fixtures with these bulbs in them, end to end, to cover that much area? UVB should cover the basking area plus a bit more... I'm a believer in the KISS method. (Keep it simple stupid). Have in the enclosure only what the dragon needs. Don't get distracted by what YOU think looks cool. (This is often hard to do I know lol) He is def a cutie!!!
