Our new baby seems to be having an issue with his tail. Eating great and active. Is it tail rot? Attached is a picture bringing him home and what it currently looks like.

It looks like maybe he got bit on the tail and it's scabbed over. You can apply a triple antibiotic ointment to keep it clean while it heals. A few sheds and it should be a little better. The rest of the tail looks flexible and ok from here. Is it?

Yes seems flexible I researched soaking in betadine mixed with water do you think that will help? It looks so thin in that area.
