What is the brand of the UVB? Where is the UVB placed? How are you taking the temps -- are you sure those readings your getting are correct- you want surface basking temps 95-100 F for an adult dragon and the cool side 80ish F during the day-- what is the weather like where you are living? Can you post a pic of your tank so I can see it please

Ok I would change out the basking bulb for a solid clear bright white bulb -- the yellowish bulb is what I am seeing - examples of those bulbs would be a Flukers basking -- Exo Terra Intense or a Arcadia halogen -- start there and see if his behavior changes and drop the surface basking temp to 95-100 as well -- let me know if he changes his behavior- then will go from there

Hi

I have this bulb would this be better. I have been told his Viv is to big and it's not getting enough heat around. And the vets have said the Viv is to hot. I really don't know what to do now as I'm getting told different things.

yes change the bulb out to that one -- make sure your temps are running to what I posted and watch the behavior--- the tank is not too big -- as long as your temps are good and hes getting the UVB he needs your good - hes not losing weight? and hes eating?

I've changed the bulb. He tends to sit on the far corner away furthest away from the heat he can. So do you think the Viv is to hot at the moment his cool end where he stays it's 80.6f and the basking spot is 100f but the surrounding warm end is 84.2f do you think that's to warm

No those are good temps- is he eating pooping? How long does he bask for when basking? How is he getting water?

He haven't eaten in about 4 days he's gone right off his food. He never basks and he last popped on Friday. He will stay there all day unless I move him and after a few minutes he will go back to that spot

When was the last time he had water and what did the urate look like? Dry crusty? If so hes dehydrated- get a weight on him weigh on a kitchen food scale in grams- w/ his temps on par and UVB there is something else going on unless hes going into brumation which is off season but not impossible -- please get him a hide- how old is he? Has he ever been tested for parasites? What are you feeding for a staple insect? If he hasnt been tested I recommend you get him tested too many parasites will cause this kind of behavior as well --- NO ENEMAS! You would need to feed him some plain canned pumpkin to make him go to the bathroom - then take the fecal into the vet for testing! I am going to flag the post to Tracie shes the vet tech on the board and have her give input on him

I bath him 3-4 times a week at the moment his last urate was a bit crusty. He is 2 in August and weighs 420 grams. He had locust's and silkworms with salad. He had blood test two weeks ago and they came back fine I'm waiting on swab test to come back either today or tomorrow. I have put his hide back in

Please lay off the bathing -- too many baths will dry his scales out- please rinse the salads before serving he will get moisture from that and I would drop water on his nose once a week to see if he will lick - he is of good weight - please post the blood work when you get it -- we can have Tracie look at it as well as the swab test what was that for? I still would get a fecal into the vet for testing to rule out parasites - it is normal for them to have a low count but too high will effect their appetite and behavior -

Hello,

He looks of good weight & appears healthy. Definitely post your blood test results, I can look them over
to see if anything is really off.
His tank is good sized for him. It is large but as long as there is ample heating where he can reach his
optimal basking temperatures, it should be ok. The Exoterra basking bulb should be fine, as long as it
is a bright white light for him. So, if you have that one, you can change that one out so his basking area
has a brighter color to it.
How far is the Arcadia D3 12% tube bulb from him, is it a T5 high output tube?
What supplementation are you using for him?

Tracie
