Hi Guys ,hopefully you can help - we have a young beardy roughly 6 months old , over the last few weeks he has been hiding under his bush -he isnt eating and we are misting him every day
We brought him back to the breeder who looked after him for a few days and he claims the size and weight are healthy - but things dont seem right ?
any ideas ?

Oh no poor thing well let's go over a few things I know someone already asked this but is your uvb a coil or tube? If you can send a picture of your tank. How high is your humidity in the tank? Do you have stick on temps are do you check with the digital thermometer? What kinda food are you feeding him and what size? What does his poop look like and when has he pooped?

Thanks so much for your help - will get that detail when i get back home ,i have booked him in to see a VET tomorrow just to be safe - but will keep those pics across as soon as
can answer some of the questions though
Food : mixture of small crickets and meal worms - fresh salad leaves recommended by Breeder - also got him some beardy food and of course calcium - use digital thermometer - he hasnt pooped recently but he hasnt eaten

The most important thing in the tank is basking temps and UVB NO coils please -- your cool side of the tank is too cool daytime temps should be 80's F -- basking temps look pretty good --- you need a long tube fixture for a UVB 24" for a 40+ gallon tank -- is your top of the tank a wood or are you using a screen -? placement is crucial for the UVB ---- if you need more help w/ the UVB please ask --- also NO enemas at the vet ---- they can end in disastrous results --- take a fecal in w/ you --- if you need to get a fecal and he isnt pooping feed him some canned pumpkin that will make him go to the bathroom --- most like pumpkin -- I am thinking he isnt eating because the UVB is off ---

What is the uvb a T 8 or T 5 and is there a reflector on the uvb fixture? How old is the bulb?
everything in the tank is less than 6 months old - new heat bulb replaced as a precaution less than two weeks ago its a T8 uvb

Is there a reflector on the uvb fixture ? Distance for a T 8 is 6-8 inches directly over the basking decor+ reflectors are crucial
