Please get some raw unpasteurized honey on that -- NO crickets in the tank please -- what are you using for a UVB? Is he eating? what are you using for a basking bulb? And how close is it to him ? It should not be any closer than 6" -- what substrate are you using?View attachment 34081View attachment 34082Hi. I need help with a lil guy I've got here. I had a bearded for 14yrs..never any health issues at all. This lil guy though I've rescued & I've been trying everything from soaking him in betadine to reptile fungal cream. He's just not getting better.
I've put the raw honey on it. And I personally don't like to give crickets..never did with my the one I had 14 yrs. As far as lighting goes it's what he should have again because I've had one. I appreciate the help. Below is my Big baby I had for so long. Got him when he was just teeny tiny. He was super healthy & even is in a 3 different animal books you can find in stores. Please get some raw unpasteurized honey on that -- NO crickets in the tank please -- what are you using for a UVB? Thank you. And I've put the raw honey on him. And it did actually start with the window surfing.I'm not a bearded dragon person, and know nothing about them, but my guess is he's glass surfing - bumping his face on the side of his tank as he goes back and forth trying to get out. I may be off base, just what popped into my mind as I looked at your pictures. You might consider taping a wide strip of paper to the outside of his tank so he can't see out.
I rescued him from someone who just didn't want him anymore. He wasn't a free roaming & my tank is also way larger. I also believe it started with the glass surfing. But I had never had that with my other boy so I guess it took me a min to notice how bad it was gonna get. I am doing my best to keep it clean & he has been eating good till last couple of days he hasn't & now that's concerning me. Maybe he will tomorrow if not I'm gonna get some baby food. Thank you so much for your time. I do appreciate it. And also thank you for your kind words for Mr. Pickle Pants. LOL. My son when he was little named him that. But yea he was the best. He's buried in my mother in laws flower bed. My husband even made him a lil casket.Hello,
Wow, your boy is beautiful, that is wonderful he had such a long long life!
How long have you had this new rescue? I don't think it's fungal but is definitely trauma of some
type. It is most likely being caused by glass surfing or constant rubbing on the side of the tank. He
might not be used to being in a tank, do you know if he was a free roam dragon?
The raw unpasteurized honey, or, manuka honey either one should greatly help to clear that up before
it becomes infected.
Let us know how he is doing. Is he eating pretty well right now for you?
