Yesterday we had some family/friends over for a BBQ and one of the kids put rhododendron flowers in the cage and Charlie ate some of them and is acting sick. I have called two local vets but both don't take Lizards. I am calling around but not sure what to do for him :(
TIA

Have you found a vet yet?

How many flowers did he eat?

He may need this: charcoal lavage and IV's to flush his system, but you need to seek a vet to get advice on what to do.

I wouldn't wait. Keep calling around and see if you can get in today.

My husband is the one that found them, there was 2 still in there. Husband clean out his tank and gave him water. I can't believe it. maybe 3-4 flowers.

You're welcome. Best of luck and well wishes. I hate to see them suffer. There might be something you can try and to get him to pass them. Baby food applesauce, plenty of water, or prune baby food or olive oil. When Allie ingested glass I gave her nothing but liquids and applesauce or prunes to pass the glass. The girl pooped her brains out until she passed them.

Is there a way you can lock his tank? When he gets better? I'd put a lock on the cage.

He is doing better. My husband is home watching him and doing what we can. So far all the vets are booked, not in or don't take lizards. I will keep call tonight. Thanks for all the advice. I just join and so far it's nice to have someone help out.

That's great! I was so worried about your baby. I'm missing my baby. Her name was Allie. She passed away May 3rd to Yellow Fungus Disease brought on by complications of surgery.

So sad. He pooped right before I got home and was acting more normal. We were on our way to the leave for a vet about an hour away that would see him when we heard a noise and he flipped over. My husband tried to help as much as he could...just too late. My daughter, husband and I are heartbroken. We loved Charlie Mustache. I feel so bad. I am in shock that there aren't many vets around us that take in "exotic" pets. This was my daughter lizard but we all love him. Thank you!

Or make them pay for him/her...if you plan on getting another beardie.
