Hello! We recently picked up our first little beardy, and Im in love. I'm trying to find more out about what kind of bearded dragon she is.
I purchased her from petsmart, so being a regular petstore, they probably had no idea what they had. (One employee thought this was as big as she was going to get....)

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what kind of beardy she is. I just think she's so pretty.
I don't have many amazing pictures of her yet, but here are a few. I will try to add more later if these are not helpful. She's got such a pretty orange color on her back, I hope it doesnt go away with her age.

info- From nose to tail she is ~8inches.
Her nails are black in color
She has a black vertical line pattern on her tummy that's find of grey/black

Welcome!! S/he is like mine looks like a common beardie, they get up to 24" long so s/he is not done growing :) but at 8" she's about 5-7months. Those lines on the belly are normal when cold or upset they tend to really darken up and kind of looks like a chain link I think :)
There is alot of info here on this forum on food, lighting as they are VERY important so could you tell us more about your set up ie: lights, temps etc...

Thank you so much for the response!
I'm looking at a lot of photos on google images, and I'm seeing a lot of different colored beardies, and ultimately, i'm curious to learn what she will look like when she's older in terms of coloration. She's got such a beautiful light orangy color on her back, will she lose this as she ages?
The beardy we were originally going to purchase in our local petstore was listed as a "fancy bearded dragon". This one ended up being purchased a few hours later before we came back the next day. We went to another location and bought a common bearded dragon.
Do you know what the difference between these are?

to my knowledge they are 1 and in the same...but I could be wrong.. I would attach a pic but Izzy is very dull as she is starting to shed and is partially brumating.. But she looks just like yours and when warm she looks just like yours when cooler or trying to soak up more heat she turns more greenish, but the orange remains. I believe the orange will brighten once full grown.

Petsmart labels them "fancy" when they just look different from the rest of them. Our girl Dexter was a fancy from Petsmart turns out she is hypo (all 10 of her nails are clear) and she is a citrus. As she's gotten older she's yellow most of the time but when she gets a bath or she's basking she's orange.
