I think my Bearded dragon had MBD. He is shakey, dragging his back legs, not moving around a lot, has not pooped in a few weeks, not growing or shedding, barely eating. I changed his uvb bulb to a uvb tube and got vitamins and calcium powder to coat his food. He has been moving around a little more but still no pooping and still shakey and dragging. What else can I do? He also has a bump in his tail I am worried about.

Can you sent me a picture of him but it sounds like he is dangerously impacted. Quickly give him a warm bath and let him soak for 30 minutes or more. Call the vet immediately and ask them what’s the best thing to do. They may safest to give him a droplet if olive oil because that will make them poop but don’t do that right away. If he’s been impacted for this long it truly is a life of death situation

As he’s soaking I suggest you read up a little on impaction and see what the internet says as well. I hope he gets better and don’t be shy to ask me anything else. I’ll be on my phone for the next little while

Oh dear, he may have actually have mbd. Can you gently press under his jaw and see if it’s soft or still firm. Also can you send me a picture of his enclosure and include a picture of his uvb tube

Your UVB is a good one but it needs a reflector and taken off the back wall - at this point hes getting NO UVB - I would suggest getting a fixture w/ a reflector and move it directly over him inside the tank basking decor 12-15 inches from him / her - they will not eat w/ out proper UVB or basking temps --
