Can anyone tell me what this is? It wasn't in with the hoppers when I bought them, and I feed the hoppers to the dragon before they get too big. They appear every now and again and then I find dead black empty shells laying in the tank and they disappear. As far as google can tell me they aren't part of a grasshopper life cycle so I don't know what they are. If anyone knows anything I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

It looks like it could be a larva or pupa of a cleaner crew beetle. Not sure exactly which but they are harmless and often used in commercial bug colonies to keep them cleaner. I use superworms (and their beetles) for this in my roach colony.

Ok thanks, i have seen one or two empty beetle shells laying too, was just confused as to how they could get into my pen.
