I have her incubator ready everything. .. she's in her laying box and the eggs she laid are broke she broke them! Do I watch her lay and pick them up right away? What is best? I know they are fertile
Okay... I have her in a closed room in a tub with coconut husk how long should I leave her be? I have been concerned due to her not being the recommended 18 inches she's 17 ... about 15 months old max.. uh I have my incubator set up.... I read different things everywhere can I have your opinion on the humidity % and the degree F.... mines balancing from 80-90 Friday I know 90 IS TOO MUCH I have lowered it max it's been going to is 87F I just turned it down again. .. but my humidity is high it's like 75-91% .... these are notes and variations that I've been getting since I set up , my incubator I been doing tests.
Let her lay and then cover the eggs completely even pack the substrate down then remove her and put her in her tank to rest. Carefully dig up eggs from substrate place them in your incubation containers exactly how they were laid. Temp should be from 84-88F. Humidity should be at least in 60's. I keep mine at 85%.
I have a home made incubator www.youtube.com/watch?v=T86nPATEckA .... my temp is 82 but it'll keep going up gradually .. but my humidity is wayyyy to high... 98% must I have a miss reading ? My in house humidity level is only 49% I don't understand
Hmm maybe the humidity gauge is no good. 80's is a good humidity 90's is probably too much they house thermometer and humidity digital gauges at like WalMart and Kmart for like $10.00 bucks max those are accurate. That is what im using in my incubator right now
