This household is animal centric. Currently there resides a 4 year old Irish Jack Russell terrier named Annie, a whole bunch of fresh water fish, a hinge-back tortoise named Sophia and our latest addition a 9 month old Beardie named Rickie. Rickie was originally a gift to my grandson but it got a little too much for his family to properly care for him so guess who now has the responsibility.
My wife and I have lived in NYC all our lives. We have 5 adult children and 12 Grandkids.
I am a retired computer instructor.
Learning about Beardies has been fun and educational.

I have mixed feelings also about using the alfalfa pellets. There are so many opinions out there. I may just go back to the Zilla terrarium liner. Rickie grew up on it when he was in a smaller tank.
