Hi, your set up has a great start. Welcome to the forums!

I would check your basking spot as the bulb looks pretty close to the area. This can cause a burn easily. I would also replace the red bulb for a bulb that produces white light. How far is the uvb to the basking spot?

Hi the UVB is going along the whole top of the viv you can't see it in the pic I swapped the bulb last night for a white one.that was my concern about the distance so I've moved the basking log away.

The bulb is about 9 inches from the basking spot is this too low?

Hi, that is good. 8 inches is typically the standard distance for tube style bulb.
