Hi everyone, new guy here. Found this site while looking for info on bearded Dragon looks like a great place to get some helpful info. Growing up I had lizards of all kinds my favorite though was my iguana she was with me almost 10 years. I then moved on to fish had a nice aquarium for a while but life happened and for years now we have had just a few betta fish. Well after deciding to start a new nice aquarium for the kids we went to pet store to show the kids different fish get some ideas well the kids and wife feel in love with the baby dragons so forget the fish we are getting a little Dragon but before we just purchased one I told them daddy had to do some research make sure we get everything right before we bring a little one home. All here I am looking to learn

Welcome! Good for you for doing research before buying. My boyfriend and I always had fish tanks and one day I just got tired of all the cleaning and water changes and we got into reptiles. I think bearded dragons are a great first reptile choice. They are pretty hardy and easy to care for. They are awake during the day and love interaction and they have the best personalities (even the grumpy ones are great). You'll find a lot of info here and some nice people. Read away and ask us anything

Welcome ! I think a common nightmare we all share is a disease called MBD muscular bone disease which is caused by improper lighting and lack of calcium and supplements . I went through MBD with a chameleon and wish I had known sooner about mbd.
