I recently had issues with my bearded dragons health for a few days and thanks to this site he his all better! I recently bought him a new 100w heating lamp and his basking spot is /only/ getting up to 88F, he seems to be dealing with it all fine he's very active poops At least once a day, the issue is... he is not eating any more than one cricket a day. I feel like I'm my 20g tank the 100w Zoo-Med should be working but it is not. Any suggestions? I've never had these issues until recently so I'm not sure what the heck is up.

What are you using to measure your temp? A 100 watt bulb should get you way over 88 degrees especially in a 20 gal tank.

I'm using a circular thing from Petco. I'll post a picture below because I have no idea what it's called.

That's most likely your problem. Use a digital thermometer with a probe, or even better yet, one of those laser temperature guns.. Also, you want to measure the temp directly at the basking site, not the ambient temp up on the wall.

Yep those only measure the temp on the glass and well since our dragons don't live on the glass that reading is worthless really... So Yea get yourself a digital probe or a temp gun and I bet your temps are good.
