my dragon is a year old and will only eat locusts and a small amount of salad. I give him rocket carrot red pepper, and water cress but he will only eat the rocket. what should I be giving him in his salad. I have tried him on crickets but he point blank refuses them. He is on size 4 locusts how many should I give him every day

I would keep trying the salad everyday as that's more (typically) what they should be eating as adults with a small % bugs. You must not be in the states (locusts, rocket) lol we are trying to get together a list of salad items that are available in the UK and Australia so I am hoping that some of our other "across the pond" folks will chime in on what they've been able to find.
I would offer him as many as he will eat in 1 setting a couple times a week...and kind of go from there to see what his needs are... maybe if the bugs are not as available he will eat more salads...

I get worried because he came from some one who did care for him correctly. HIs viv was cold when I got him the hot end was only 29 and cold end was 20. It is now 39c hot end under basking bulb and 24 the cool end he is also a bit skinny you can the ribs sticking out . Would really like to put a bit of weight on him.I am currently giving him 6 locusts a day plus the salad but he is not very good at catching the locusts
