My female bearded dragon hates water will not drink. If I try and mist near her she runs away!
I always worry she is not getting enough hydration

You can use an eyedropper to gently drip a drop or two of water on her nose..if she is thirsty she will open her mouth as the drop runs down her nose. It might take a few tries before she figures it out. I dont mist...mine hates it too. He likes warm water from the eye dropper. I also moisten my greens, and some bugs, like silkworms and hornworms, are very hydrating also. They really dont drink much at all..they get most of their hydration from greens and insects. If you hydrate your feeder insects with fresh fruit or those flukers orange cubes for a day or so before feeding, whatever the bugs consume gets passed on to your dragon too!

Thanks I’ve really been hydrating the insects and I also have been putting mealworms in a dish with a little water.
I just find funny that she hates to drink water.

They have a body system that conserves water, similar to birds. The urates (white moist stuff in their poop) is their way of urinating...it should be moist and soft, not hard and chalky. As long as it is, your dragon is hydrated. They dont pee liquid, just as birds do not. You can go the other way t

Oops sorry, hit the post button on accident too soon! (need more coffee lol). I was saying you can go the other way too and overhydrate them. They really do know what they need once you get the heat and lighting on par. I wouldnt put the mealworms in water. Just watch what the dragon poop looks like. My dragon closes his eyes when he doesnt want a drop of water...its his way of saying, "enough, silly human! Go away!" My dragon drank from his water dish once since Ive had him (over a year)and his poops are really moist. Hope that helped! Feel free to post pics of your dragon (and even his poop lol) anytime!
