Never go over the top of there head they have what's called a third eye on the top of their head which when this is covered or detects unusual movement makes them freak best thing to do I go under there chin lift to front legs are on one had and support the rest of her body with your other hand she will move and get comfy my one bearded dragon starts off on my arm and end up sleeping on the back on my neck also when she's older and a lot bigger you could let her run around your living room as long as you keep an eye on her and there's nothing she can get stuck in or under

Don't be freaked out she won't hurt you I was at first I had one from a week old and I kept thinking my finger was going to go through her belly but they're tougher than u think if she starts clawing or flicking/swinging her tail about she just feels like she's going to fall so rearrange your hand until she will feel saving make sure your sat down as well but she will be quiet happy on your chest and don't freak out if she starts walking over you she's just exploring my Leo cwtches his head in my neck and then climbs up the back of my neck and up my head a little and goes to sleep I will put a pic up now so u can see what he does

Aww they're cute when they're that small so delicate but very fast if your a bit weary of handling her just try picking her up in the viv but just hover her over her viv floor that way you can get the feel for her and get to know how she likes to be handled whilst also showing her that your not going to hurt you and that you are safe and beige you know it you will be wanting cuddle time with her all the time and after a while wen your confident with her you will find your own easy way to pick her up all of my dragons are my baby's/ best friends and they all have a routine and that's what you want to do with you u will form a natural bond

I have had Bowser for 6 weeks now and he will eat from my hand, let me pet him but won't let me pick him up. His full beard comes out and hisses. What can I do to pick him up? Sometimes when I do try and pet him he runs.
Any help will be appreciated.

Every days for a couple of days place your hand in his viv slowly each day move your hand closer he will get used to u having your hand in the viv everyday when you get that your hand is next to bowser if he runs away don't move your hand or chase his around when you get that he doesn't move when your hand is next to him pet him a little eventually try and pick him up off the floor of the viv but like I've sed up above don't go over the top of his head as they have a third eye keep picking him up off the floor of the viv but remain in the viv but each time move him closer to the glass eventually u will be able to get him out of the viv but he is young as the moment so everyone experiences the same problem
