i have a 3 1/2 month old and when i first got him at 6 weeks old i was able to pick him up and hold him for about 5 minutes at a time and now recently he won't let me pick him up or pet him in his viv i try to move slow and i dont want to chase him

That can happen. It takes time. Just take the time to put your hand in slowly and just leave it there. Maybe put some kind of food that will entice him to come to you. They can be very skittish as first. Remember though, once he does let you, be careful not to be complacent. Make sure you are low to the ground and in a place that if he jumps from your hand he will still be safe.
