What are some good ways to get a beardie comfortable with you so you can pick up and handle them. Right now IT wants to run from me. If I do pick up and he jumps from my hands IT will be hard to catch in this room........LITTLE & FAST!!!

Thanx Edd

Make sure you scoop him up from underneath the front part of his body and support the back legs with the other hand. When my boy was little and crazy, I would handle him only at night before his lights went out. He was nice and tired and his guard was down so he would let me pick him up with no problems. This helped him get used to me so I was eventually able to hold him throughout the day.

Ditto ^^ Just go slow and let him get used to your hands in the tank, then give him good support and just hold him while in the tank and then just for short periods of time while close to tank in case he jumps.. But I did most of my handling close to lights out for the night for both of mine.. My female was good from the get go for short times..my male however is a wild child he's better now however as a baby he didn't want to be held he wanted to run lol

Hey Edd, mine are a similar age to yours and I have been having the same problem with one (the one I decided was a girl). Percy the male ,is great, he just sits on my hand. Lulu, until a week ago was like yours. So, I talked to her a lot and let her get used to my hands being near, but she would still jump off when I picked her up. So, I just kept on doing it, mostly morning and evenings when they are less active and eventually she just gave up. I was thrilled the first time she sat there for 5 minutes, she still jumps mostly but I know now it is just a matter of time. Besides, she has no choice, I am irritatingly persistent.
