Halloween Themed Tank Setup

First off my Bearded Dragon is doing great. Getting so big. My dog loves him to death.

Anywho, to my question; I'm hosting a Halloween party and wanted to do a theme in his tank. I have a homemade small water fall. Just a basic small water pump in his big water dish that trickles water down the 3d background. I also want it to be safe for my Dragon as well. I was thinking of making it look like "blood" coming out of the waterfall. Either with red food coloring or maybe even a red Gatorade. Would this be safe for him? It'd only be for a few hours then I would change out the water.

Great ideas. I wouldnt. Typically, it is not recommended to have a waterfall in with beardies - they can be prone to respiratory problems if the humidity is too high. a water fall can increase humidity. Would red food color or gatorade be safe? probably. PROBABLY. This is not a definitive answer. Again - i wouldnt. Enjoy your party Be safe

I would have to agree both probably would be ok, however why risk the health of your beardie for a couple of hours?? I'm sure you could come up with some other type of decoration that would be safe yet involve your beardie in your party.. maybe using a red light to illuminate some structure that is themed like yours? Just a thought..

The bearded dragon is halloween enough! I would do some sort of halloween background and maybe some decor. They have some cool skulls for lizard decorations.
