Grub pie?

I'm wondering if any of you guys/gals have herd of grub pie? This guy I know feeds this to his dragon and supposedly his loves it. I looked into it and it sounds complicated, there is a lot of ingredients in it and you actually have to cook it. Any opinions on this?

Yeah I most likely won't mess with it just because I can already predict the outcome. I'm going to slave away only for Spyra to say no thanks. If it does not try to run for its life she's not interested lol

lol yea it's pretty popular I believe beardeddragon.co carries the powder and you can add some things to it..then you boil water and add it in and then let it set up in the fridge.. you can blend up the bugs and put them in there too..
Kinda along the same lines as if you raise hornworms you gotta boil water and mix in the powder then let it set up in the fridge..
It can be really good for picky eaters, for those who don't really like their greens as you can mix it up in the greens...some use it as a treat..

Thanks for that info. I was pretty curious to learn more about it. I may have to try it out some time than. Maybe it will motivate Spyra to eat a little more of her salad. She's definitely a picky eater.

Yea I know alot of folks that buy the stuff and mix in all sorts of other powder supplements etc it's actually a pretty easy deal.. I know of a few that make up special batches for their birthdays lol as treats.. even put it in molds in different shapes... lol

I use it as a very occasional treat. It's not that difficult to make Just add one part of powder to 2-3 parts of water let it set up and cut it into pieces. It keeps in your fridge in a storage bag for 2 weeks. Luci loves it, the girls don't really like it. I also feed it to the frogs too. It's good if you have a picky eater that won't eat their bugs like they should. It will cause loose stools if fed too often.

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind so if I ever do try it out I'll remember it should be used as a treat :)

I make it and then pour it into silicone ice cube trays, once they set I push them out and then put them in a bag, makes it so easy!

The more I hear about it the more I do want to let Spyra at least try it. Shes so picky! If her food does not try to frantically run for its life she's just not interested. She's even refusing worms now unless I literally flick them across her cage so she can chase them lol. So I'm not sure how she would take to it

I have and use it occasionally for our dragon Rusty. He really likes it and it's easy to make. Looks like insect jello.

It must taste good because he leaps off his basking rock for it!

We finally ordered some and I'm very happy with it. Our dragon loves it and it has actually encouraged her to eat more of her salad from time to time :) I will definitely be keeping some on deck at all times

Our girl is the same way. At first she was interested in it but would only lick it. Now she gets excited when we put some in her salad and eats it all up
