I have collard and swiss chard in my yard that I am growing for Moonpani. I also have a ton of dandelions (as our neighbors have completely given up fighting off this weed. Thing is, Moonpani's all time FAVORITE green is Dandelion. I'd love to grow it organically in my garden but I am unsure how to go about doing this.
What constitutes organic? Is the seed that lands in my yard organic or inorganic? If I find dandelions growing in my organic veggie plots can I safely serve these to my lizard? Or would I need to buy dandelion seeds (is that even something you'd find on the market) and sow them myself for them to be considered organic?
Every week I spend money on a bunch of dandelions that Moonpani can't possibly go through and they don't keep to well- sometimes they go bad before the week is out. It'd be so much easier to just go to my garden and harvest leaves and I can even nip buds so as not to add to the weed problem in my neighborhood.
