Gray patch on beardie

Hey guys, my boy Tycho's got this white/gray patch on his tail that I'm getting worried about. I had thought it was just a persistent piece of shed, but it's been a couple weeks now and it's just gotten bigger/whiter. I've given him baths and scrubbed it gently with a soft toothbrush and nothing. He doesn't seem to notice it, doesn't care if I touch it and he's eating just fine. Does anyone have any idea what could be up here?

I'd say its shed --- let it do its thing -- sometimes shed can take a while to come off --
