Good weight for length and age?

Hey there everyone.

My little man is around 3 months old (possibly a little younger?) and 8 inches long. I weighed him recently and the max he is hitting on the scale is 30 grams. He looks a little skinny but I can't really tell as he is my first one. He has proper lighting and UVB and I feed him over a dozen crickets each day, sometimes with calcium powder. Is this a normal weight?

Welcome to the forum and yes your baby is not to small. Healthy for its age is day here is something you can go off. Weigh same day every week and keep chart that’s what I do.

Thelongfellows is right have a chart and weigh him right now make shure hes not dropping weight,.... Very cute baby, if you want to fatten him up order some different bugs , crickets arnt a great feeder , he needs variety right now, roaches, black soldier fly larva (They are apparently really good for babies) , hornworms (be careful they grow fast dont get to many) no bug bug bigger than the space between their eyes and dont feed anything 2-3 hours before bed(he needs light to digest probably)

Your baby should be offered more bugs than 12 a day. Allow it to eat at the least twice a day, as many bugs as it wants in the space of 10-15 mins. Also, the calcium powder should be used to dust one of these bug feedings per day, 4-5 times a week :) Also offer fresh greens and veg each day, fruit occasionally. Some good suggestions above of different variation of bugs to offer!
