Hey,
I have a bearded dragon and she is a female. She is 1 year old and lately she’s been glasdancing EVERYDAY for the WHOLE day.....
I really can’t stand it anymore.

I checked every reason possible but I just don’t know what to do anymore.

I tried to hide the side glass so that she doesn’t see her reflection but she just switch to the front side, but I can’t just completely hide her it doesn’t feel right.
I saw that it could be also because she’s hungry but I can’t over feed her.
It could apparently be because she want to mate, but like idk this is way too hardcore and I don’t have a male for her.
It could also be because she want attention, but every time I take her out she runs everywhere or try to glass dance on my window?!

My ears just can’t take it anymore. Do someone know what I can do because I’m this close to give up...

Welcome to the forum, She could be glass surfing for a number of reasons the first things that catch my eyes are your UVB what kind are you offering? She is near what looks like two windows that’s going to be a HUGE stressor for her I’d cover the two sides of glass permanently if I were you, she could be coming into sexual maturity (this is my best bet) for the past two springs my girl has been very crazy around may and june, and then calms down , she doesn’t look over weight to me(keep feeding her if that makes her calm) (her body is telling her “stock up on food babies are coming”) dont lose hope and give up, sometimes its a completely natural behavior, my bearded dragon scratchs her walls when she wants outside time. As long as your girl isn’t black bearding or showing other signs of stress shell be fine. It is really annoying I’ll admit, but thats what we get for putting a lizard in a tank

I see, thank you so much. I will cover both sides permanently.
It’s true that thinking like that, they are pretty curious creature and being locked in a terrarium isn’t the ideal for them..

The lights are from Thrive 26W 10.0 UVB and 75W Basking bulb.
From what your saying, I do think it could be because she’s becoming sexually mature since she has been doing this a whole month between the end of April - start of May and then stop a bit and start again now in June.

A weird thing, I feel that sometimes she do that only when she sees me. Do you think it could be because she want attention? It’s just you know, when she have such claws like these and runs everywhere it’s hard to take her out securely.

I give her bath once a week and lot of veggies.
I do try to take her out but it’s just impossible sometimes because of her running everywhere.

Also could you confirm it’s a girl?

I did check her tail under a lamp and didn’t see anything.
There’s also no visible femoral pores (unless not as much as males do)
Even tho I had her for a year, she just start becoming an adult so I’m not sure and I want to give her the best treatment.

can you take another and put her on a table or your hand and lift up the tail, like you would for a dog or cat, we need to see the base of the tail after the vent (two bulges male, flat or one indentation is female),

It does look like a female I’m just not 100% sure.

I think girl aswell, if u cut her nails (where I marked in red) it’ll be easier for handling, be careful not to cut where its pink inside the nail, if you have cornstarch or flour on hand that’ll help stop any accidental nips , if you dont want to cut them use a dremel or a nail filer (I recommend this) and do a couple passes on each nail so it doesn’t get hot and its an uncomfortable experience for the dragon.

I also looked up your uvb, its a “compact” ,”coil” uvb, these are no good, they cause eye issues, offer either way to much uvb in a concentrated stream or little to none at all, I recommend getting a long tubular uvb, with a fixture that has a reflector inside, and no longer than 70% of the enclosure, you want dark areas , i use the reptisun brand t5 10.0 , but “arcadia” are also another good brand , their 12% bulb is adequate for bearded dragons.

Yea, I didn't cut her nails this month.
Thank you for your advices, I also think she is in "heat" if I can say so.
I took her out today and when she saw her reflection in my PC screen she went crazy.

I am thinking you have a girl -- the first thing I would suggest is get her into a bigger tank -- 75-120 gallon--- next the Thrive 26 watt UVB is a terrible UVB --- its going to cause all kinds of health issues -- if you want to stay w/ a coil UVB I would suggest the Reptisun 26 watt bulb but even then I am not a fan of coils ---- the 26 watt needs to be UNOBSTRUCTED and approx 6-8 inches from basking decor piece --- your tank you have her in looks like it is not set up for proper lighting -- the screen needs to come off or the dome needs to be inside the tank --- temps need to be 95-100 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer --- your dragon is getting sick as she is not getting any UVB w/ what your using now and the way it is placed ---- please get it changed out ASAP--- she will continue to glass surf --- and quit eating as she is not able to absorb her calcium from lack of UVB --- that and the basking temps control the over all behavior and health of the dragon ---
this is what you need for a UVB they are the best on the market
24" fixture for a 40 + gallon tank https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-terrarium-hood.html this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb hang on to it for a back up it will need different placement and distance
this is the bulb you need 22' bulb https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-t5.html
or this fixture
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/arcadia-prot5-uvb-kit.html you will need the 12% bulb they are great bulbs - please get your husbandry fixed along w/ the lighting and you will see a difference in the dragons behavior

With The proper lighting and if u cover the glass in her enclosure and with a little bit of extra love i think it will make a happier and brighter dragon.

If you get the tube fixture please post back on here so I can help you get it set up but she needs a bigger tank and one that will properly handle the lighting --- the tube fixtures require certain distances and placement

My female bearded dragon used to do that alot, as she got older she almost doesn't do it at all. She's 3 1/2 now, maybe when yours gets a little older she will mellow out
