I saw a gecko today at Petco (((can not help looking when I know I should not))) and his tail was really funny looking. It was short and round, about half the length of the other tails and a perfect circle about the size of a half dollar. I did not have my phone on me so I could not get a pic of it. Is there something wrong with it other than looking different? Just wondering, I am a very curious person. I did not want to say anything to them just yet b/c pet stores will just put them down for things like that and if he is ok I did not want to risk him being put down for no reason.

Too difficult to say if there is something wrong with it or not as we do not know the species. There are a multitude of gex species out there. Easiest way for us to tell would be a pick or you can try your luck with google starting with leaf-tails.

IF it was a leopard gecko it sounds like the little pooper lost its tail and regenerated a new one.
My husband said Petco has leopard geckos, he had one as a kid. He looked the same as all the other ones in there other then his tail shape. His tail had the same color and look of the others just the shape was different. I am sure I will be back there in the next couple of days and will try to get a pic of it.
