Fish project

So I asked my little helpers to lend a hand making these CD fish for Bible School. After much laughter and noise and a considerable mess we finished all 30. I mention to Schelly that this might be a good art class to put in her portfolio(she homeschools and she must put together a portfolio to show the school district that they have completed required work) so I get the camera. She only needs one GOOD photo. But just before she snaps the pic one of them did something sooo funny to ruin the shot. I was laughing so hard I peed my pants. These are the result of my daughter patiently taking shot after shot trying to get just one good photo. Finally had to put on my best Grandma voice(hard because I was laughing so hard) and tell them to knock it off. Really love the flounder one of them thought to make.

Thanks. It would have taken me forever to do them by myself. We just make a little party out of all we do and the kids jump at any chance to come to Grandma's house. They are hysterical with the things they think to say. The one in the pigtails is the most like me and every time she opens her mouth something funny comes out. ;D

Might be a fun project for you to do with your little ones. It's just CD's and that foam paper. They had a blast making them. I'm hanging them from the ceiling in my classoom.

LOL!!! I WOULD like the camera more if only it made me 70 pounds lighter and 40 years younger. ;D

I was going to using a tool and put small grommets in the fins but decided to use my dremel tool with a drill bit. I have never used it(bought a nice one from Goodwill for a few dollars) It worked great. I see myself putting it to good use in the future. Mike better lock up his saw. I'm feeling brave and ready to move on to bigger things.

I do have my own tools. I got sick and tired of going for something and not being able to find it. I have a large PINK bag that I keep my own hammers, screwdrives, staplers etc. in. I do loan them to him at times but only under close supervision. I do have a band saw I bought but have never used YET. I see MEN without fingers and think that could be me. It puts me off for a bit. :-[

Ban saws are good to be cautious with... But, as long as you use good sense, and pushing tools, you shouldn't have a problem.

Hey Vesta those fish are soooo cute. Thanks for sharing your pictures. You can tell they all enjoyed the pictures. It would be so nice if camera's made people look younger and a few pounds lighter. lol
