I have had my new Beardie for 3 days I took him out today for about 10 minutes and all seems fine i just have a few questions

How often should I handle him?
For how long at a time at first?
How worried should i be about him jumping out of my hand and falling.
Shourld i keep a grasp on him or just let him sit and move if he want to. Again I am just worried about him falling.

1) Daily but take your cues from him. If he's being a rascal, put him back. If he's into it then the exposure to you is good.
2) As long as he's willing, within reason.
3) Babies at that size are fast and easily spooked. I'd handle him somewhere he can't fall, like on the floor or over a box
4) Either. Refer to 1-3

Thank you he is a lot like me he has a short attention span good for 5 or 10 minutes then gets restless i always put him back but no stress color good no aggression just looks he wants to move. I have 2 80LB Boxers not aggressive but he is so small i am concerned. They snuggled with my Guinea pig so i trust them.

My gosh, what an adorable dragon! I have a baby one too, plus a spirited Yorkie. I just put her out of the room when I'm handling the beardie, since they're prey animals in the wild, and I worry that she could inadvertently do him harm if she got too excited. She pouts but what can you do :)

Dex doesn't seem to be bothered by our dog (pitbull) and Ozzy doesn't seem to care about Dex. Dex even escaped my lap once (dang he's quick) while I was sitting on the floor and ran up and over Ozzy who was laying a few feet from me. Ozzy only lifted his head enough to look at him as he scrambled and Dex didn't stop his dash. lol Freaked me out for the few seconds it took Dex to go up and over as I was afraid Ozzy would scramble to his feet and hurt Dex. But, nope. Phew!

Our cat Jango and Dex didn't get along at first. If I have Dex out on the floor with me and Jango walked into the room Dex would go all aggressive and poof up and open his mouth at him. Watching Jango I think he was just curious as to what Dex was . . . he wasn't in stalker mode . . . but Dex didn't want him anywhere near him.

Last night my daughter and I had Dex out on the living room floor between us for a bit to let him play. I was totally surprised when Jango walked into the room and Dex walked over to him and they went nose to nose. Jango just a sniffing, Mum and Auntie hovering, and Dex calm as you please. We cracked up when Dex's little tongue came out and gave Jango's nose a lick. Jango jumped back, sneezed and went scampering out of the room while Dex watched his new friend run away. Dex looked so sad we gave him extra cuddles. hahahaha Definitely wouldn't leave him unsupervised alone with the dog or cat, but I think they won't mind each other if they are all out in the same room now.
