I bought two beardies a few weeks ago. They are both 4 weeks and they're too young to know what sex they are. Anyway, I bought them from the same parents, one for me and one for my girlfriend's brother. I'm worried about mine because, well from the start,my girlfriend's brother's dragon is fatter and a bit bigger than mine. But a few days ago, the head of my dragon has been changing color to greyish-white, so has his/her upper back and his/her front arms. Also, he/she has been eating less crickets than Piffy. I looked it up and read that it might be that they're shedding, so I tried to help by bathing him/her daily with warm water. But the other one isn't shedding. I just want to confirm what it is. Thanks guys.

That's what happens when they shed. They start to white over and sometimes will get cranky and not want to eat. Every dragon sheds at different times, so even though the two were from the same clutch doesn't mean they will shed at the same time. In fact, you may notice yours shedding more than the other one because your's has some catching up to do ;)

Also don't worry, they don't shed everything at once. One week it might be the tail, the next week an arm, the next week it's head.

Thank you. I appreciate for taking the time to answer me. I was just trying to assure what it was. Is there any other way that I can help the little one shed easier besides bathing everyday with warm water?

Nope, just let it be. It helps to have things in the tank that it can rub on to loosen the skin.

Okay thanks, also these are the photos of him/her right now, it's obviously the one with the grayish white head. The other one is my girlfriend's brother's.

There actually is something you could do in his bath if he will let you. With a very soft baby toothbrush you could gently brush him in the direction the scales go. This may help loosen the skin. Don't ever pull on the shed skin because you could hurt him.

Awesome, thank you. I wanna do what I can to help him and make sure he won't feel uncomfortable.

His skin on the head has gotten better but I see know evidence that he has shed at all. It just went from albino to getting his color back. But I see nothing of him shedding. It's weird.. here's a pic of him now

hmmm, it's possible he or the other one ate the skin.

I think they can. It's not like geckos or frogs where they eat it but I think it's possible.

Well, there's also the possibility that the reason I didn't find any shedding was because my girlfriend probably cleaned the cage before I saw them. But it's confirmed he's shedding. I can see him peeling from his arms now.
