First Hornworm

I just moved and let my guy have a couple days of adjusting. I gave him his first hornworm as a treat for being such a trooper. I asked for a smaller one because I hear they can be messy. He almost inhaled it, I heard 1 crunch on the way down. He loved it but I’ll probably just give him one on pizza night, weekly treat for us both.

Bearded dragons love hornworms, and should be apart if everyones dragons diet, mine will chase one if I tease her with it.

Normally all I see are hornworms the size of my finger so I was waiting for my dragon to be at least a year old before letting him have one.

Only feed hornworms if he’s almost 1.5 years of age some their timmys can’t handle it. If the beardies is under a year old stuck to crickets & Dubia roaches and after a year of age u can add super worms as treats.

Yes hornworms are huge tyoically sometimes u can find smaller ones but as treats they love them. Another good treat is superworms I do like 3-5 a couple of times a week as treats alongside their regular protein feeding of crickets & of course the greens/veggie plate that’s given daily.
