Hello. It looks like our Bearded Dragon has started brumating for the first time. I'm concerned because I know he still has food to digest. We're keeping everything the same is his habitat hoping he will still digest and poop. What should we do if he doesn't poop? Any thoughts would greatly appreciated.

About 7 months. Zoomed T8 10.0 75 to 85 degrees across his habitat with basking spots at 90 and 100 degrees. Multiple sensors in the tank and a heat gun.

Is your T 8 in the tank w/ no cover over the bulb and approx 6-8 inches directly above the basking decor--
7 month olds do not brumate-- unless they are really big and weigh a lot-

This is why I stay away from these forums. Nobody just answers the questions. If I had questions about his habitat, I'd ask, if I wondered if he was brumating, I'd ask. The tank is set up correctly and 7 month old bearded dragons can and do brumate. Nvrmd, moving on.

If your uvb is not set up correctly he will show signs of brumation again I say 7 month olds do not brumate-- so that tells me your dragon is getting sick-

Beardies do not usually brumate till they reach a year old, at 7 months he is still a baby what I would do is take him to a vet and get a fecal done to rule out parasites because they have similar symptoms. The reason why we asked you about the lights is because that is the most important thing when it come to bearded dragons

Typically, reptile-related questions require context to find correct answers for. We can't "just answer the questions" without background information on the setup and diet, or else we run the risk of spreading misinformation or not being able to help. In the majority of cases, animal care questions can't be answered directly.

TL;DR: We cannot provide a good answer unless we have good information to work with.
